Robert Mckee

1948-2012
The Agency and ATSP lost a good friend on December 7, 2012, in Robert McKee.
Bob was born in Quincy Massachusetts on December 9, 1948. His family moved to Westminster California when he was 5 years old. He received a bachelors degree in Business and started with the USDA on April 1, 1976.
Bob married Patsy in 1996. He loved fly fishing in Montana and bought property in Helena, Montana, to retire and pursue his passion. He belonged to a fly fishing club in Riverside, California, and had many great fishing trips with the members. Bob and Patsy loved to tie flies, build rods, camp, travel, and cook. He was very involved in Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, where he was in a men’s Bible study group, ushered, crusaded, counseled couples and individuals, and was training to become a Chaplin. He was also very active with the Covenant House, building homes in Mexico for the less fortunate.
Bob touched so many of us in FSIS. He was the ultimate professional manager and was highly respected by all in FSIS and by members of the industry. Bob always empowered his employees and went the extra mile to help them in their careers.
Bob and his beloved wife Patsy had 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
We will miss you dear friend.
