
How is ATSP structured?
The ATSP Executive Committee consists of four (4) representatives within the following jurisdictions: North, South, East, and West. These representatives are elected from their respective jurisdictions. The Secretary and Treasurer are elected on a nationwide basis. The President and Vice-President are elected representatives who are appointed by the Executive Committee to head the Board of Directors. The four (4) representatives serve three (3) year terms and the Secretary and Treasurer serve four (4) year terms.
How does ATSP serve its’ members?
- ATSP keeps members informed through the ATSP Newsletter, a publication sent to all active members. The Newsletter provides the minutes of meetings with Agency management officials, Board of Directors’ meetings, reports of ATSP activities, and other items of interest to the members.
- ATSP is actively involved with coalitions of federal employee associations that work to protect the rights of federal employees such as the Coalition for Effective Change. ATSP is also a charter member of the Public Employees Roundtable.
- ATSP will provide for an initial consultation with our professional legal service in proposed disciplinary or adverse action.
- ATSP serves as an intermediary between members and management in handling career related problems.
- FSIS requests ATSP to serve on Agency work groups and members are solicited to serve and represent the Association in these important initiatives.
- ATSP has a career development committee created for the career development of its members. Other committees are established as necessary to benefit the members.
- ATSP established this website to link members and provide a common source of contact and information.
